Roving For Sale

Each year several fleeces in a variety of colors are made into roving
I use small specialty mills who do a fantastic job with my beautiful Shetland fleeces. Remember that these are one time runs on individual fleeces – so buy enough to do your entire project as that exact color may never be duplicated. Roving is sold by the ounce, but a price break occurs if you buy one pound or more. Shipping is extra.
Light gray/silver roving. $14/4 ounce ball
White roving. This photo makes this look very white, but to my eye it is 'winter white'. $14/4 ounce ball
Light brown roving. Soft and fun to spin. $14/4oz ball.
Multi-brown - Made from multiple fleeces, this roving is multi-brown. It will spin into a lovely heathered yarn. The sunshne in the window makes it look slightly silver but it is in fact all brown tones. $14/4 ounce ball
White roving. $14/4oz ball.

2020 Fleeces - SOLD

Fleeces are sold by the pound plus shipping. Please call for more information.
Briana - This fleece is off of a heavily spotted gray katmoget ewe. I have no idea how she got this long staple as both of her parents have 4" staples ... but hers is 6-7" long. Less crimp and more wave. This would be a great fun fleece if you wanted to play with separating the out and inner coats so you would end up with a softer shorter inner coat as well as a longer more course outer fleece that would be great for socks. Or blend it all together and have an intermediate fleece for vests or socks or ... whatever. Very dense and strong.
Cassie - This lovely rich moorit/iset fleece is spectacular and so soft. Short staple so I would not recommend this to a total beginning spinner. Staple: 3", heavily crimpy. 1#14oz. skirted.
Cat - Another one of my lovely gray katmoget fleeces. This one is more of a silver overall and soft, soft, soft.
Chantilly Camelot - Yearling mioget ram lamb. Gorgeous soft luxurious fleece, his hoggett fleece.
Chickie -A short very crimpy gray katmoget fleece from one of my older girls. Crimp falls off at britch.
Donk - This photo came out very washed out for some reason. This fleece is dark moorit with gold tips (not tippy!). It is extremely dense and though not next-to-the-skin soft it would be very nice as a vest or sock or whatever. It does have a very small area with some light dandruff but no scurf. It should wash and card out easily.
Lava - A solid white fleece that shows very dirty so I took a lock and rinsed it in hot water and the dirt came right out. See lock on purple felt. This is a very dense bouncy fleece. Staple: 3-4" very even.
Lilly - A soft and even moorit katmoget fleece. The kind you want to bury your hands into forever.
Nahla - Gray katmoget that is heavily spotted so she has a lot of white interspersed with her gray. A gorgeous fleece that you can do so much with for sorting colors and changing depth of color by blending.
